CCC Transportation LLC (CCC) was originally
founded in 1953 as a reliable short-haul,
appointment-oriented, intrastate motor
carrier. Today, it is Florida's largest
intrastate truck line operating over 1,000
tractors and over 2,000 trailers throughout
the Southeastern United States. Our workforce
is non-union.
In 1953,
Commercial
Carrier Corporation obtained a temporary
operating certificate to transport bulk
cement, a commodity that previously had
only been transported by rail. One year
later, with a permanent certificate and
12 trucks, Commercial Carrier started hauling
for General Portland Cement Company from
its new plant in Miami. By 1958, Commercial
Carrier was the company's only carrier.
Over the years CCC has grown to become the largest intrastate carrier
in Florida, with 16 strategically-located
terminals (13 of which have full-service
repair shops) in major market areas throughout
the state. CCC also services customers
in Georgia and Virginia from terminals
in those states.
Today, the company specializes in transporting dry bulk commodities
(cement, fly ash, slag, lime, and ground
limestone), certain consumer-driven products
(beverages, glassware, and paper products),
and in general building materials (drywall,
lumber, and concrete products).
Our longevity and customer-service culture have made us one of the
most respected companies in the
state. We offer versatility (a variety
of equipment types make it possible for
us to provide dry bulk, dry van and flatbed
service), equipment superiority
(average fleet age is 3 years); a statewide
Nextel™ communication system,
which enables immediate contact between
dispatchers and drivers; a computer controlled
dispatching/load planning system and QualComm
in certain applications.
Safety is our priority. Our drivers annually log over 80,000,000
miles with one of the best safety records
in the industry!
